[edit]Just a detail there seems to be something strange in this assertion :
included various "Marks" as the MK V, VII, VII, and XII.
Can someone more knowledgeable look it out and delete this comment ? Chris CII (talk) 18:46, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Sourcing issue
[edit]G'day, came here from WP:MHAR where this article was put up for assessment. I just wanted to query the use of the book by Sutton, which appears to be self-published via the Amazon service. Therefore WP:SPS applies. I'm not sure it is a reliable source? Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 08:00, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- Good catch; I missed that. Sutton seems to be an expert on submarines, especially special forces subs; he's presented at the Underwater Defence and Security Conference and his work has been featured in Proceedings (the US Naval Institute's publication) and Navy Recognition. Does this make the book reliable enough? If not I can try to find another source. Thanks, Chumash11 (talk) 23:51, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- That may be enough to get him over the line as a published expert in the field, but it would be best to find additional sources that corroborate some or all of the material, esp if you are planning to put this up for GAN in future.
